A community directory of UK venues rated on how they actually feel inside: cool when it's hot, cosy when it's cold. Real visitors confirm what they found, so "air conditioned" stops being a gamble and "cosy" stops being a guess.

How it works
Plain web pages, no ads. Confirmations show without names. Anyone can add a venue; a member checks it before it goes live. If something about a venue is wrong, report it from its page.

Two ratings, one venue
Every venue can carry a cooling rating and a coziness rating, each given by members who were there, on a five-step scale — for cooling, Warm, Mild, Fresh, Cool and Ice Cold. A place nobody has rated yet says so, and a curated landmark stays labelled as one until someone confirms it. From April to September the site leads with cooling; from October to March with coziness. Both stay on the venue all year.
Confirming takes a free account and ten seconds. Recent confirmations count for more than old ones, and each venue says how confident the community is.
How sure a rating is
Beside every rating, three small bars and a few words say how far to trust it, from how many visitors rated it and how recently.
- High confidence: 3 or more visitors rated it in the last 60 days.
- Recently confirmed: Someone rated it in the last 14 days.
- Some confidence: 2 or more visitors have rated it, most recently 15 to 45 days ago.
- One visit so far: One visitor has rated it so far.
- Needs a fresh check: Its latest rating is over 45 days old, so it may have changed.
- Not yet confirmed: Nobody has rated it yet.
Badges
A place can earn a badge from what visitors have done there. Tap one on a place to see why it has it.
- Frequently Confirmed: Rated by 3 or more visitors.
- Local Favourite: Visitors rate it 4 or more out of 5 on average, from at least 2 of them.
- Well Photographed: A member has added their own photo of it.
- Heatwave Hero: Rated cool on a day it was 25°C or hotter outside. Shown April to September.
- Cold Snap Hero: Rated cosy on a day it was 5°C or colder outside. Shown October to March.
- Student Favourite: Tagged student-friendly by 3 or more people.
Tags
Student-friendly, date night, group hangout, quiet & chilled, late night, live music: tapped by real visitors, one tap each, and filterable on the map.
Crawls
Routes between venues with a check-in at each stop, built by members and by the site. The Pilgrimage routes set out from the great cathedrals and castles.
The Wardery
The game, and entirely optional. Visit places and confirm them, and each one can become a House you keep by coming back. Your Houses grow into a Realm on the Shire Map. Strong Realms contest the Seats, the great cathedrals and castles.
The Directory
A UK-wide list of venues drawn from public energy and food-hygiene records, searchable by town. A different kind of signal from a member's confirmation, and labelled as one.
